Monday Morning Prayer

The Order for Morning Prayer

Invitatory 4: The goodness of God leadeth to repentance. O come let us worship

Psalms 102

First Lesson: Exodus 12:37-end
Salvator Mundi

Ant. O Saviour of the world, who by thy Cross and precious Blood hast redeemed us;/ save us and help us we humbly beseech thee, O Lord.

Thou didst save thy disciples when ready to perish: / hear us and save us we humbly beseech thee.

Let the pitifulness of they great mercy / loose us from our sins we humbly beseech thee.

Draw near according to thy promise from the throne of thy glory: / look down and hear our crying we humbly beseech the.

Come again and dwell with us, O Lord Christ Jesus: / abide with us for ever we humbly beseech thee.

And when thou shalt appear with power and great glory: / may we be made like unto thee, in thy glorious Kingdom.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son,/ and to the Holy Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, / world without end. Amen.

Ant. O Saviour of the world, who by thy Cross and precious Blood hast redeemed us;/ save us and help us we humbly beseech thee, O Lord.

Second Lesson: John 4: 27-end

Collects of the Day.

WE beseech thee, Almighty God, look upon the hearty desires of thy humble servants and stretch forth the right hand of thy Majesty to be our defence against all our enemies; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

O GOD, our heavenly Father, who by thy Son Jesus Christ didst call thy blessed Apostles and send them forth to preach thy Gospel of salvation unto all the nations: We bless thy holy Name for thy servant N., whose labours we commemorate this day, and we pray thee, according to thy holy Word, to send forth many labourers into thy harvest; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

ALMIGHTY and everlasting God, who hatest nothing that thou hast made, and dost forgive the sins of all them that are penitent: Create and make in us new and contrite hearts, that we worthily lamenting our sins, and acknowledging our wretchedness, may obtain of thee, the God of all mercy, perfect remission and forgiveness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
